Origin
Pure and Natural New England Spring Water is trucked via our own FDA Approved, food grade, stainless steel tankers from Triple Springs in Meriden, CT. The Spring Water is ozonated for purification at the Source and transported under locked seal to ensure a safe, pure, high quality finished product. As Spring Water is our only ingredient we leave nothing to chance in providing our customers with the highest quality Spring Water ice available.
Freezing
Upon arrival at our manufacturing facility, the Spring Water is transferred into large sanitized holding tanks. The Water is then electronically metered into our industrial IceMakers. Our Proprietary ESF Technique “Extra Slow Freezing” virtually eliminates air bubbles in the finished product and results in a harder, slower melting, more dense product; making it the perfect addition to all beverages. Our proprietary ESF process is 100% Natural. Our refrigerant contains no CFC’s, allowing us to do our part to help fight global warming.
Sorting
The ice is then sized into standard 1 3/8 inch wide cylindrical pieces and stored in a specialized bin which allows the ice to set and further harden before packing. This process helps to minimize the block freezing of the ice that will generally render a generic bag of cooler ice virtually useless for consumption.
Packaging
Once the Spring Water Ice has a chance to “set up” in the bins, the product is screened to minimize any snow and smaller pieces that break up during the conveying process. The product is then packaged in a Puncture Resistant, Re-sealable package and sealed with a tamper evident seal. The bag is then printed with a lot code as per FDA Bottled Water Regulations and automatically packed in a case for shipment. |
